My Interview with PFT Commenter (Simply Sports first very very low budget podcast)

If you know me, you know that I freak out about interacting with Barstool Personalities and that usually happens over Twitter. I tweet at them just about everyday - rarely do I ever get a reply, but I still shoot for the moon (just like I am with this whole blog idea). I screenshot and share with my friends when I actually get interactions, and the smile doesn't leave my face until about 3 days later.

This morning, I was mentioned on Unnecessary Roughness, Barstool's College Football podcast. And hearing that my little "poem about Gamedays in Stillwater, Oklahoma" being "one of the best" tweets they had received in a while got me so excited! Not too mention, Kayce Smith (https://www.instagram.com/kayce_smith/) basically screamed my name, so that made me even happier:

Little did I know that Kayce Smith exclaiming my first name with so much excitement would be topped today.

Pardon My Take is the #1 sports podcast in the world... so if you've never heard of it, up your game, get with the times, conform to society, and become an Award Winning Listener at next years "Takies". PFT Commenter is one of the wittiest, smartest, and most comical personalities on the internet. I have relied-on, borrowed, and reposted many of PFT's jokes for the past five years, so getting to speak to him today was like a 12-year-old girl getting to meet Justin Bieber in 2010.

I do help out with Barstool Sports as a viceroy at Oklahoma State, so yes, I do have the opportunity to be able to be on zoom calls with people at HQ in New York every couple of months.... So no, I don't know PFT, and yes I was one of like 140 people on a zoom call... but this is going to be my "First Interview" if I ever start a Podcast. I will air these questions and this interview in nostalgic fashion for all of the 10 people who will listen (shoutout to the TT's, the OG Squad, and Janey if you still read these)

A brief run down of the questions that I asked -

Every year, "Pardon My Take" has a "Grit Week Tour" where they drive around the country as football teams go back to training camp. They interview various personalities in their all-too-tight-too-fit back row of their mini van. This year, amidst the Pandemic, instead of driving around the country, they decided to take 24 hours to do a challenge while being on a live stream on Twitch. PFT, who I got to speak with today, drank 24 beers in 24 hours. Big Cat, the other Host of PMT ate 24 hot dogs, or as the kids call them, "glizzys", in 24 hours. Their Intern, "Billy Football" ran a marathon in under 8 hours, so he completed a marathon while PFT and Big Cat were only a quarter of the way to finishing their 24-counts for the 24 hours. So that explains my first question of "When were you drunk, and when did you feel hungover".

Here are a couple pictures of a normal Grit Week

My second question was about PFT's Dog, Leroy. Over my tenured Barstool Fandom, I have gotten to know Leroy really well: Leroy is always in PFT's videos and live streams at home, I have read dozens of tweets about Leroy's bathroom habits (still can't believe he held it for 24 hours one time), and know Leroy's favorite meal to eat off the coffee table is Indian food. Leroy had previously retweeted me this summer, and I wanted to know if I had technically got a RT from PFT himself... After, PFT answered my question, I am more than ok with comprehending that Leroy is the greatest "retriever" of news in the entire world of Big J's. Do the right thing, and give Leroy a 'boop' on that follow button. https://twitter.com/LeroyInsider?s=20

All-in-all I asked some very stereotypical dumb frat kid questions, and honestly, if it made the people laugh... thats all I am trying to do... PFT gave me a scoff and that was probably all I wanted. I hope you guys enjoyed the very first ever Simply Sports Visual Podcast... there will never be another one because you don't ever ask dumb questions to your favorite Internet personality once.
