Instant Reaction: The Season 2 Finale of The Mandalorian is MUST WATCH TV

Disclaimer: I would consider myself an above average Star Wars fan, but definitely not as knowledgeable as others. I would put my knowledge in maybe the 70th percentile of Star Wars fans..?

Something that I don't think that I have blogged about yet is Star Wars. The Holy Trinity of my life is: sports, Barstool Sports, and Star Wars. In all honesty, I am not surprised it took me this long to blog about the Mandalorian. When Season 1 was happening, I didn't yet have this blog. Then, this Fall, Season 2 released, and in all honesty, every episode felt the same. Mando and Baby Yoda (as we previously called him) would go to a planet, their ship would break, it would get restored; meanwhile, Mando would complete what felt like a side mission in order to continue their paths to getting Grogu back to a Jedi that could train him... While he did that, Grogu always found a bite to eat! BUT, the last couple of episodes, including the finale, were nothing like that.

IF YOU HAVEN'T YET WATCHED THE FINALE: THERE ARE SPOILERS FROM HERE ON OUT!

This episode had everything: Dark Troopers, The Dark Saber, Moff Gideon, (obviously Grogu and Mando), Mando showing his face, Tie Fighters, every other important character we have met throughout the series, and for all of the people who thrive on nostalgia... LUKE SKYWALKER, AND R2!

I would rate this episode amongst the tip-top of other Chapters of the Star Wars Series, falling just behind Revenge of the Sith and, the OG, The Phantom Menace. This episode, titled: "The Rescue", was jam packed full of action; The High-Jacking of an Imperial Shuttle, Taking over Moff Gideon with a battle of pure Beskar and a Dark Saber, and fighting off a platoon of Dark Troopers.... In all honesty, maybe due to recency bias, I would rate this episode of Star Wars a 9.6. It was just so good and I haven't felt this much of any emotion since watching the Western Conference Finals back in September (I STILL hate LeBron).

If you stayed long enough to watch the Post Credits Scene... I want to hear your opinions... Personally, I didn't love it. It was too forced. Bib Fortuna was basically just the new Jabba the Hutt... and yes I understand the poetic justice of taking the throne of the person who killed his father... But again, it wasn't all that great of a scene... James Harden and Bib Fortuna both gotta lay off the donuts...

Now, on this Snowy Friday in Colorado, I leave you by saying: I hope you enjoy the movie, and May The Force Be With You
