I originally had no idea what to think about the Patriots signing Cam Newton. I thought many things. "The Patriots might be taking a risk with this quarterback" or "What about Jarrett Stidham?". After the past week of following Cam Newton on social media, I know we are in for something special...

Look past the hieroglyphics in Cam's comments. The hair is that of someone who is going to have another MVP season. The words are that of a motivational speaker.

I always thought the best follow on instagram was Julian Edelman. You get some sweet highlight reels and hype videos that go unmatched by other athletes. After entering the Instagram world of Cam Newton (after he signed with the Patriots), I have a new Instagram favorite.

Which Cam is he talking about? The 2015 MVP 15-1 Cam? 2009 Cheating in class Cam? We have seen many sides of Cam Newton, but his social media offers a perspective of CHAMPION... and I think the Cam he is talking about is going to be the coldest quarterback we have ever seen. I am talking NCAA Football Video Game Vince Young numbers.

"The Forgotten Cam"

This is the easiest statement to back up. I forgot Cam Newton was an NFL quarterback until I saw him doing a damn Seal Team 6 workout in Quarantine, and I only hoped SOMEONE would sign him because this man is going to dominate any defensive lineman who comes at him.

How about the damn head nod at the end of the first video? He raises his eyebrows and gives a head nod in the most "let the haters doubt" look I have ever seen.

The second part of that Instagram post is about how he "loves [the haters], adores it, and admires it". He can't get enough of the people doubting him. I haven't seen this much confidence since LeBron guaranteed how many championships in Miami? Not one. Not two. Not three. Not four. Not five. Not six. Not seven.... And you know what? I believe in Cam Newton's confidence. There is something different about him coming to the city of champions.
